Hey there!

Should I get pet insurance for my 9 week old bully?

And if so, what’s the best pet insurance to get?

Thanks!

Jeff

I have a 7 month old bulldog. He has had dry skin since we go him, and coconut oil seemed to take away his large dry spots he had. Recently, he has been itching more than ever! We bathe him about once a month with oxgord organic oatmeal dog shampoo, and got a really good brush. He has given himself hot spots on his front paws, and has an open sore on his back leg. We give him coconut oil orally, and rub it on his coat. We have also stopped giving him “city water” and began distilled. Does anyone have ANY suggestions to ease his itching??

Aggressive Bulldog biting to bite my sons crotch">
Aggressive Bulldog biting to bite my sons crotch

I have a 3 year old English Bulldog, who we have have since he was 10 weeks old.  In the past 9 mo this he has started to attach and bite my 16 year old sons crotch!  This is a random act and unpredictable.  I also have 2 daughters, age 13 and 7,  that he would never be aggressive with.  My son tries to get away but the dog is fast and aggressive.  I usually have to physically lay on the dog to get him to stop so that my son can get away.  This does not seem to be stopping and I am at the end of the line, please help with some advise or the dog will have to go.  It will break my 7 year olds heart!

I have two questions. First, I want to find out how much i should be exercising my 7 month old English bulldog. She loves to go for walks, but I’ve heard I shouldn’t even be walking her a 1/4 mile so she won’t have joint problems.

Also I love you skin careadvice and food advice. It’s helped a lot already. She recently got a skin infection on her neck where her collar sits. Is there a particular collar or style you recommend to help avoid that?

Thank you!

I have a female English Bulldog. She is approximately 3-4 years old that we have just adopted. Is it safe to give Bulldogs probiotics every day? I have just recently found your website and have learned about how sensitive their tummys can be. She has had two rounds of diarrhea, and the vet has given her medicine as well as the probiotics. I know that it is very helpful. I just don’t want to do too much and cause any more tummy troubles for my sweet girl. Thank you for helping with such wonderful information for bulldog owners!!!!

I am wondering if English Bulldogs are ok with being the only dog in a household? We have a four month old male and my husband thinks he is lonely and wants to get another one.

Skin issues

Hello! I have a 18 month old female bullie. She has started to have skin issues. I would like to avoid the vet,the medications often have adverse side effects and frankly I cant afford it with my husband out of work recently. We have switched her food and to Earthborn great plains, grain free etc. As well as supplementing with salmom oil and coconut oil in the food,we rotate them biweekly,as it alone they seem to lose effectiveness. We also topically treat with the coconut oil. Bathe her about every 8 to 10 days. Fleas have been a particulary trying issue this season for some reason.  But we are diligent in our efforts. Im going to order the malaseb shampoo n wipes. My breeder lives a block away,so i am in contact with her regularly. Ik told her skin issue is a dermititus caused by the yeast,We have the ears under control with the extra strength Zymox. Even if i could afford the vet bills currently,I am just not sold on all the meds, they generally only work for a short period of time before stopping as well. I m huge on herbs and natural remedies, any help you can suggest will be greatly appreciated.
