Hi, I understand that bullies have always been an expensive breed & that raising a litter is no easy task. I’m just confused with the price increase I’ve seen since last year, most bullies I saw where priced between $2500 & $3000 but since Christmas (just before) pricing went to around $4000 – $5000. I love bullies but I can not justify $5000. I try but I just can’t. I have a pure bred bullmastiff who only cost $2000 would love to get her a little sister bulldog, but $5000 is just unrealistic.

My bulldog has started to get red and smelly in his wrinkles. The problem is mainly on his face in the rope above his nose, but he really, REALLY smells around his tail. This all started about a month ago. He is now 8 months old and we’ve had him since he was 8 weeks. We use blue buffalo brand dog food so I don’t feel like that could be the problem and he doesn’t get table scraps.
Ever since he started smelling in his wrinkles we have been giving him more baths. We’re up to 2 baths a week now and no matter how in depth we clean the wrinkles he stinks again like no other within a day. He even rubs his face and tail on the carpet and walls which puts the smell all over the house! So here we stand sort of at a cross roads with him. We would never give him up by any means, but the stinch is horrendous and we don’t have the money right now to see our vet. Do you or anyone have a home remedy or any ideas of what might be causing this? I would be so greatful if anyone could help us get our bulldog back to his old self. Trust me, I will be waiting for answers!! Thanks

I’m looking for a bulldog for my wife. I know I want a good quality one with no health issues and I want to get a good price, but am afraid if I pay too low that isn’t good either. So how much is the right price to pay for a bulldog puppy? I’ve seen them for as low as $500 all the way up to probably 5k. With such a wide range of prices what am I to do? thankyou for your help

My question is simple: Why do bulldogs sleep so much?! I have a friend who owns two bulldogs and when I visit them it seems like their always under the chair snoring LOUD! Lol. I just can’t believe it would even be healthy for their bodies to sleep that much. Don’t they need exercise to stay healthy? Sorry for the goofy question. I know their may not be a real scientific answer, but maybe I can just ask other owners if this is typical for bulldogs to sleep almost all day.

I am at my wits end with our 9 month old male bulldog. He is crated at night with absolutely nothing in the crate (if we put even a towel in there he will pee on it) and does fine with no accidents. Lately if left alone in the gated kitchen he pees on the little pad he lays on. He will actually pee and lay in it ! We’ve had bullmatsiffs before and never had such training problems. What am I doing wrong ????

Bulldog Persistent Ear Infections"> Bulldog Persistent Ear Infections
Piles, our 3 yr old Bulldog, developed ringworm in September and to be honest we probably didn’t notice it as soon as we should have. By the time we got him to the vet he had two of them on his belly one near the chest and one closer to the rear. We put him through a pretty vigorous round of topical treatments and the ringworm subsided for a few months, but it came back over and over again. Has anyone experienced this before? We are at a loss for words and this is quite frankly getting pretty disheartening. Does anyone have any advice?

This is a great forum that I am so glad to have found.
My bulldog “Lola” has repetitive ear infections. The smell is awful, we continually clean them, apply ointment but it seems that it a never ending battle with her right ear. Besides medication and the cleanings does anyone have recommendations on keeping her free of these, or advise on cleaning to make the smell go away?
