I have a 3 year old bull dog that in the nose rope of her right eye I noticed that In between the wrinkles is red and some swelling. I have been rinsing it with warm water and drying it completely I was wondering if there was anything else that I would be able to put on it. It doesn’t seem to bother her but it bothers me because I don’t know what it could be caused from. She has regular baths and is an inside dog. Thanks!
What your doing with the warm water may not be the answer for your bulldog’s problem if there is a yeast infection or dermatitis. The warm water will visibly clean the area, but you need something medicated to kill infection. Best bet would be the wipes we wrote about in the english bulldog care page. Good luck.
Try some peroxide, (don’t get it in the eye!!!) dry the area and apply some Bag Balm. We use it for all sorts of sores or cuts and it works well. You can find it at any TSC store, some hardware stores or drug stores, or Amazon!
