This is a great forum that I am so glad to have found.
My bulldog “Lola” has repetitive ear infections. The smell is awful, we continually clean them, apply ointment but it seems that it a never ending battle with her right ear. Besides medication and the cleanings does anyone have recommendations on keeping her free of these, or advise on cleaning to make the smell go away?
Jenafer, another great question. Don’t you hate it when you try to do everything you’re told and so diligent about it with no results! Have you seen your veterinarian for this yet? It sounds to me like you’re doing everything you can for your Bulldog. It’s funny with the ears it seems like they can just get so dirty, so fast, and it’s not like these dogs are rolling around in a pile of toxic sludge like we find in their ears. I’m not sure what wipes you’re using, but we use and recommend the Malacetic Wipes because they’re pretty much the “nail in the coffin” for knocking out infections for Bulldogs’ ears, facial folds, and tail. I hope you’re on your way to getting this fixed. Good Luck!
